THE IDEA IS SIMPLE

01 / HOW IT WORKS

A little lock.
A lot less disruption.

Put TabLock to work when you need it. Your other tabs are yours to use as usual.

01
↗

Open your page

Head to the site you want to keep open in Chrome.

02

Lock your tab

Click the TabLock icon, then choose Lock this tab.

03
✓

WHAT’S INSIDE

02 / FEATURES

Small tool.
Thoughtful control.

A focused extension for the tab that needs it.

01
↗×

Fewer unwanted detours.

TabLock attempts to intercept common pop-ups, new tabs and redirects in a locked tab.

02
02

See what was blocked.

A counter in the extension shows blocked attempts for your protected tab.

03
≡

Choose your level.

Start with Standard mode, or try Strict network blocking for more stubborn navigation attempts.

✳

TabLock can’t stop every type of pop-up or redirect. Some links and site features may not work while a tab is locked; unlock it when you need to navigate.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few things
you might ask.

A little context before you lock in.

Does TabLock work on every tab automatically?+

No. You choose the tab to protect and turn the lock on from the extension. Protection applies to that tab, and you can unlock it at any time.

What’s the difference between Standard and Strict?+

Standard mode intercepts common pop-ups and navigation attempts. Strict mode adds network blocking for the protected tab and may briefly show a browser error or prevent navigation until you unlock.

Will it block every pop-up and redirect?+

No browser extension can promise that. Some pop-ups or redirects may get around TabLock, and some sites may behave differently when protection is on.

Which pages can I use it on?+

TabLock is designed for ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages in desktop Chrome. Browser-internal pages such as chrome:// pages and the new-tab page can’t be protected.

What about my browsing data?+

The current Chrome version keeps its tab-lock state in browser storage and does not include analytics or send it to a TabLock server. Read the privacy details.
